Insight2050 is a public-private partnership to help Central Ohio better plan for growth over the next 30 years. The insight2050 Corridor Concepts study explored more walkable/compact environments and high-capacity transit along five representative routes to help communities make informed decisions about housing, transportation, and economic development. UrbanFootprint was used to assess infill and redevelopment capacity in the corridor areas, and develop and analyze detailed scenarios for the corridors in the context of growth across the region. Planners throughout the region benefit from locally grounded estimates of future household auto and transit travel, local infrastructure and emergency services costs, and local tax revenues associated with different forms of new development.
